"Explosive Report Reveals GOP Candidate Mark Robinson Referred to Himself as ‘Black Nazi’ on Adult Website"

North Carolina GOP gubernatorial nominee Mark Robinson announced Thursday that he will remain in the race despite a CNN report exposing years of explicit and offensive comments he allegedly made on a porn site forum between 2008 and 2012. The report revealed Robinson referring to himself as a "black Nazi," expressing sexual arousal from watching women shower in public gyms, and admitting to enjoying pornography featuring transgender individuals—all in stark contrast to his current transphobic rhetoric.

Rumors of the CNN report circulated early Thursday before it was published. Robinson attempted to preemptively discredit the claims, stating in a video: “Let me reassure you, the things you will see in that story are not the words of Mark Robinson.” However, he provided no specifics regarding the report's content.

According to CNN, Robinson—currently North Carolina's lieutenant governor—made lewd comments on the website Nude Africa, including boasting about "peeping" on women in gym showers and sharing his preference for transgender porn. He also described himself as a “perv” and reportedly referred to himself as a “black Nazi,” while making inflammatory remarks supporting slavery.

Robinson has consistently attacked the LGBTQ+ community in his public life, referring to gay and trans individuals as “filth” and comparing them to “maggots” and “flies.” His campaign has not responded to requests for comment, though some Republicans, including members of Trump’s team, have urged him to withdraw from the race.

Despite this, Robinson's name will remain on the ballot as it is now too late to remove it, with absentee voting set to begin Friday. His Democratic opponent, Attorney General Josh Stein, responded to the report by emphasizing that Robinson is “unfit to be Governor.”

The scandal has drawn parallels between Robinson and former President Donald Trump, who endorsed him in March. Democrats are hopeful the controversy will bolster their chances in North Carolina, potentially impacting the presidential race and down-ballot candidates.
